2018: Tankard

Brief: Nuclear Blast is the world’s largest independent heavy metal music label and a major international client. This year the AIM Studio music video project has come full circle, back to where it all began with the über-cool Tankard.
Hailing from Frankfurt Germany, Tankard has been a solid metal force for three and a half decades. Known as members of the Big Teutonic Four, Tankard are considered one of the four major pioneers of the 80’s German thrash metal scene. Besides being true metal royalty, what we love about Tankard is their laid back attitude in offering the rarity of artistic freedom – with one condition though, that the video is funny!
In this studio offering, you will work in a group studio environment to produce an absurd comedic 2D animated music video for a track about Tankard wanting to replace pop music on the radio.

This studio was delivered as part of the AIM Studio 5 course within the Bachelor of Design (Animation) at RMIT University.
